Happy Easter!!

Hello All!

It has been awhile! For Easter April, Gavin and I went to California. We stayed with April's Family. It was fun! We went to the beach and had Easter dinner at her Grandma's house. The food was so yummy! Gavin love the big blow up bouncer! Holy cow! That thing entertained him for hours! He also had a real egg hunt! With the eggs we dye them earlier that morning! I actually liked that better than the candy filled eggs! Cause Gavin gets too many sweets already! But don't worry Gavin eats everything even the really healthy stuff! April's Family was so much fun! April has 4 sisters! So it was fun to hear all the family memories! They had a hot tub so that was so nice! Sitting in there just relaxing and hanging out. Gavin like the dog named Joey and the pet rat he fed him a carrot! We had a Great Easter! I hope everyone else did to!

I can't believe how many things Gavin is saying and hearing! Gavin hears the Birds! Holy cow the Birds! I can't keep up with the big long list anymore cause there is to many words to keep track! Some words lately he has said Ding Dong(for poking his belly button), Hat, Coat, Pig, Barn and Woo Hoo! But alot of two and three word sentences. Also with the nursery songs I'm been working on leaving words out of the song and see if Gavin can fill in the blank! I tried it with the Wheels on the Bus! Gavin could fill in two parts of the song. He got the round and round and the horn goes Gavin says Beep Beep Beep. Then with the Isty Bisty spider, Gavin fills in the word Spider through the song! Then same with the Twinkle Twinkle little star! Gavin fills in the Star and You! Gavin can hear all Six Ling Sounds! Say them and Discriminates which one he is hearing! Gavin wants to wear his Tigger Halloween costume all the time and he will be too big for it this Halloween! I say let him wear it!

I'm so grateful for this great Technology! Also for having the right to choose which methodology works best for Gavin and my Family! Woo Hoo! For Oral Education!!! Gavin, baby you can talk and hear! Gavin I know your going places in your life! Your Father and I will be here for you through the ups and downs! I wouldn't want my life any other way!

Gavin's First Day of School!

Today was Gavin's first day of school. Gavin is 2 years old. I was kinda sad but excited to see him get his little backpack on and drop him off for 2 hours. Then pick him up. He had a ball in there cause when I came to pick him up. He threw a fit! Today they learned about the very Hungary Caterpillar. They made fruit loop necklaces. Also the necklaces had paper cut out into the things the caterpillar ate in the story. There is one little boy in Gavin's class with a implant. Two boys that wear hearing aids and one girl. He goes every week. Gavin is doing awesome!

Also Dustin right now is in California working. His company is out their cause they have growth more and need a another office. Dustin will go back in two weeks and hopes to take Gavin and I along. Dustin will be staying out there for a week possible two the next time he goes out there.
Gavin has been asking for his Daddy all day? Mommy, ere Daddy? And I said Gavin , Daddy is at work he went on a airplane, AAAHHH! Daddy ere airplane? AAHH! I said, Gavin , Daddy will be home tomorrow night right before you go to Bed? Gavin said, see Daddy night night. I said yes tomorrow night you will see your Daddy. Gavin said see Daddy.

Choose Your Ward! So Funny!

Robert Kirby Tribune columnist - Salt Lake Tribune Most Sunday mornings, you'll find me on a pew in the Rosecrest 1st Wardchapel. It's where I'm supposed to go to church. Lucky for me, it's alsowhere I want to go. Technically, Mormons don't have a choice. For church,we're bound by the geography of the ward boundary. We worship where we live. The only time Mormons can switch wards without also contacting a Realtor iswhen we attend specialty wards. For example, I went to a Spanish-speakingward in West Jordan for a while. Specialty wards allow members with specific common needs to worship togetherand support each other in their exclusive part of the Lord's vineyard. Thereare (or have been) lots of LDS specialty wards, including singles wards, college wards, deaf wards, ethnic wards and nudist wards. OK, I made up that last one. There are even seasonal "snowbird wards"in places where Mormon RV owners congregate. I talked it over with my friend (despite a restraining order) KenWallentine. We think the specialty-ward idea needs to be improved on in ourever-changing and increasingly divided culture. For example, there needs to be a late ward, a ward Mormons who areperpetually late for church could attend and not feel bad about draggingtheir herd in 15 minutes late. The only problem with a late ward would beshowing up late for a meeting that was supposed to start late in the firstplace. Eventually, you would end up with a ward that ran out of time beforeit started. "Welcome to the Tardy 3rd Ward, brothers and sisters. We willclose now by singing hymn No. 145." Given the high birthrate among Mormons, I thought about the need formaternity wards. Except that we already have those. They're called marriedstudent wards. A Star Trek ward might do well. The bishop would preside from "the bridge"instead of the stand. High Council Sunday would be referred to as a "KlingonSunday." Harley riders congregate to the exclusion of just about everyone else. Why not an LDS biker ward? White shirts and neckties go well with blackleather. Ken really wants to attend a concealed-weapons ward. He says church would bea lot more interesting if real personal risks were involved in disagreeingwith a lesson. There could be a texting ward for teenagers. Bear your testimony with yourthumb. In 25 years, they'll all belong to carpal-tunnel wards. At the less-active ward, maybe there'll be a meeting and maybe there won't. Testimony meeting in an anger-management ward might be interesting.Nobody's going to sleep through, "HEY! I KNOW THE CHURCH IS TRUE, STUPID!" A big hit would be the Multi Level Marketing ward, also known as a"Gadianton robber ward." With all the financial scamming that goes on inthis culture, it would be nice to have them all in one place for athree-hour block weekly. I think a Democrat ward is a good idea, although in Utah the best we couldprobably hope for is a Democrat branch.

I want to make this short!

If you can't say anything nice then dont say anything at all! Thanks

It has been awhile!

The last couple of weeks. Gavin has been really taking off in his speech. He is saying alot of two word sentences lately I can't seem to post fast enough for all of them. Gavin is making some great connections with speech. I said Gavin go get a diaper and wipes. So he goes gets the diaper and wipes and brings them to me. He is doing alot of things like this. He is making connections. We started potty training a little more. He hasn't gone yet in his little potty but he likes sitting on it so that is a plus. Also we had a trip to Logan to the audiologist. Gavin did Awesome! Gavin is hearing normal levels of hearing with his implant! WOO HOO! My son can Hear! Gavin went to the dentist for the second time. The Dentist said his teeth look good. Gavin had Dustin's teeth. Gavin is lucky. Because my teeth aren't strong at all! Bad teeth run in the family genes. Gavin can count to 3 which I thought was pretty cool. I didn't teach him this on purpose. When Gavin is in trouble he gets the one ... two... three... from me. Also when I give him crackers I will count them as I give them to him. I guess I did teach him to count. My primary calling is going well I team teach which is a great thing because there is 13 five year olds. Last week I taught and it was about the Holy Ghost. One of the girls raise her up and said Can we play duck duck goose? I said No I don't think so but what about Holy Holy Ghost. I told the children they had to use a still small voice when saying Holy Holy Ghost and that they couldn't run they had to walk and be reverent just like the Holy Ghost. They loved it! We had the flu last week it was horrible. Daniel had it on Sunday. I had it on Monday and Gavin had it on Tuesday. Good thing it was only 12 hours but Oh I thought I was going to die. Your stomach cramps so bad and every time you stand up you feel dizzy and like your going to throw up and a fever and hot and cold flashes with it. All of us threw up at least 6 times. It was wicked illness. I'm glad it was only 12 hours because It was awful. Also we went to the Mall and played in the water fountains and falls on Saturday. Gavin loved it. We also ate at Tucanos! Gavin ate as much as I did seriously. I can't believe how much that kid can eat. He is a growing boy though. Gavin has lost weight he is 35 pounds at his two year check up he was 38 pounds. He has been riding his bike up and down the sidewalk. When it is sunny out. The last week or so it has been snowing. I hope this passes soon I like the snow but it is spring time. So I can start planting all my flowers and playing in the dirt! I love having a garden and planting all the seeds it is fun!
