Many of you know that this was the first time for me finishing the Book of Mormon. I wanted to say that when I started reading this book and I wasn't to thrill about it over 500 pages and I have really never read a book so large. I'm not a reader but I'm warming up to it. I thought it was interesting that the more I read the more I liked and soon came to love this great book.
And the more and more chapters I read the easy it got to understand. I loved Alma and the great missionary stories. I started realizing that this prophets and followers went through some really rough times. I thought how neat it must have been to sit in the crowds with our Savior speaking and listen to his teachings. I love the last chapter of this book. It talks coming unto Christ and the Heaven Father with all our might. It also talks about the gifts of the Spirt. I'm so grateful that I've read this book. It has blessed me greatly I know that. I enjoyed going to Church and serving others and learning more about my Savior. I'm learning that God is
compassionate and he loves each and everyone of us. Last Night I started this book again. I love reading that first sentence of this great book I Nephi having been born to goodly parents therefore I was taught somewhat in all the learning's of my Father. I love this book and would urge us all that if we have read it or not. To read it over and over and study this book. This time I going to read it with the Book of Mormon Study Guide. So I can understand even more this time around.
Short Story #1 Gavin likes brushing his teeth. He would brush his teeth 10 times a day if I would let him. But most days it is like 4 times which I feel is good enough. He didn't like it much at first. So I decided to brush my teeth with him at the same time. He loved it. I never pay much attention to the sound that is made when you brush your teeth. But there is a sound. Listen next time you brush your teeth. Gavin and I one day were by the sink and he started making this sound something like this ah ah ah oo oo ee ee ah ah . Air sounds is what I've been calling them. Sounds Kinda like Lamaze! But it is the funniest thing. Now I know that when he is by the sink and makes this sound he wants to brush his teeth! Thanks to the Implant for that! My little boy hears air sounds. I hope to catch him in the act on my new video camera!
Short Story #2 Gavin likes the camera. Every time I take pictures he runs over to me. Turns the camera over so he can see his picture!
Short Story #3 Gavin likes Music time at our house. We get the noise shakers, instruments out, and puppets(dog, cat, elephant, frog, duck, dinosaur, spider, bunny) We get the puppets out when their own little song comes on. Example Spider song with spider puppet, Elephant song with the Elephant puppet! It has became a fun daily activity for us both!

It is so true about that book! I am so glad to see you have grown your own testimony of it...it feels so much different than relying on other people telling you it is true. Now you know for sure and can use that testimony you have to help others. What a great Christmas gift for yourself! Love ya girl!
I'm so glad you made it through the Book of Mormon! Thank you so much for sharing your testimony and being an example - you are wonderful!
Hi there,
I was looking thru teacher links (from the word 'teacher', in my profile)--and it led to you. I was excited at how many words your son can say, and that you made it thru the Book of Mormon! I'm in the stake primary presidency for my calling, and we've challenged all of the primary children and leaders to read the BofM all the way thru each year. It was so heartening to see how many children actually took the challenge, and listen to their testimonies (last year was our first year).
Thanks for letting me visit :)
PS: I love the BofM (obviously) and the Harry Potter series too! (What a combination, huh?)
Heather, I am so happy for you! The Gospel of Jesus Christ brings so much joy into my life; I'm glad you have found that joy too. Keep studying!
